Bennett’s Books Free Book Program

Bennett’s Books is offering free books to children from low-income families. This program is open to children and young people 15 years old and younger. Each child that participates will receive one free book per week that they can choose themselves.

How it works:

  1. Sign up

  1. Get free books!

Yes, it’s that simple. You can sign up at the bookstore or you can ask your child’s teacher, guidance counselor, or social worker if they’d be willing to sign up on your behalf. All we need is the name of the child, what town they live in, and their birthday.

Each child can choose one book per week from the children’s, manga, or young adult section. To receive the book all they need to do is come to the store, pick a book, bring it to the counter, and tell the clerk their name and say that they are a bookstore member. Again, it’s that simple.

A few guidelines:

Only books from the children’s, manga, or young adult section qualify.

Unfortunately, if you miss a week you don’t get two books the following week - you have to come in each week that you want a book.

When you finish a book it’s yours to keep. All we ask is that you don’t sell it to someone else. If you no longer want it feel free to pass it on to someone else or just bring it back to the store so someone else can enjoy it.

This program is scheduled to continue through the remainder of 2021. If there’s enough interest we will continue into next year and if so, you don’t need to take any additional steps - you can continue participating in the program as long as it lasts or until you don’t need it anymore (or when you turn 16).
