Temporarily Closed

Due to the increase of Covid19 we will be closed for the foreseeable future. Please stay safe.

2020 has been a rough year for us in a lot of ways. Like so many other small businesses we’ve really been struggling. To be honest, there was a point earlier this year when we seriously considered closing our doors for good. What We’re All About

There are lots of ways to describe what we do and what we are trying to accomplish with our bookstore but one of our most concrete and simple goals is this: to promote reading.

As such, Bennett's Books is not at all a capitalistic venture. In fact, we hope to soon incorporate as a non-profit organization and give all of our profits back to the community. Although we need to make money to stay in business what we really want is to see more people reading and people reading more.

We’re proud to have produced thousands of happy customers and look forward to continuing our work for years to come!

The Freedge

At Bennett's Books, we are proud to be able to offer resources in order to better our town.

Taking part in a nationwide network of community refrigerators, our "Freedge" is open to anyone who needs it.

Located behind our store, the "Freedge" is constantly stocked with donated items.

If you wish to donate, you may do so by dropping off items at the store, or making a donation via PayPal to bennettsbookstore@gmail.com.

Take what you need, leave what you can - everybody eats!
